Tomato Beef Spaghetti Sauce

Serves 6

2 tbsp. fat
1 1/4 cup onions, chopped
1 lb. ground beef
2 cup canned tomatoes
1 6oz. can tomato paste
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 1/2 cup Dr. Pepper
1/2 cup chopped or sliced mushrooms
Pinch of cayenne or crushed red peppers

Melt fat and saute onions until tender. Add ground beef, breaking into small pieces. Cook until brown. Add all remaining ingredients. Cook at simmering temperature at least 1 1/2 hours (up to 4 hours). Serve over cooked spaghetti, sprinkled generously with Parmesan cheese.
